Join Studio Bumi at Ace Hotel New York for Just Dinner, a communal dining experience built around shared dishes, thoughtful conversation, and meeting new people around one table.
Inspired by the Indonesian tradition of hidang, dinner is served family-style, with dishes placed at the center of the table to be passed around and enjoyed together. The evening is designed to feel warm, open, and easy to step into, whether you’re arriving solo or with friends.

Set against the backdrop of Osaka Castle, Radit Mahindro from Potato Head will be hosting a session exploring the musical dialogue between Bali and Japan, while spotlighting the hybrid crossovers that link these sounds to other regions. We’ll listen to how the rhythms of Balinese gamelan, rindik, jegog, and kecak were woven into the work of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Haruomi Hosono, and even merged with Japanese noh in the soundscape of iconic anime Akira, tracing how these traditions travel beyond borders and shift into new forms.

A market is taking shape around the island with good friends, curious finds, and a few of familiar faces bringing along their creations, treats, and small discoveries worth exploring.
The kind of Sunday where you arrive with no real plan and somehow leave with a good story, a few new finds, and a smile that stays a little longer.

In collaboration with Nawangseta Design Studio, the architectural designer of Seta Coffee Library, artist and photographer Ade Ardhana responds to the space through explorations of proportion, colour, and encounters with Nusantara flavours drawn from Mustika Rasa. ‘Makan di Ruang Tengah’ (Eating in the Living Room) invites you to reflect on eating as a spatial experience. More than just a table at the centre, it becomes a meeting point of relations, visuals, and taste, shaping how we are present, meet, and share.
