From 13–17 August 2026, Jia CURATED returns to Bali, set within a new beachfront location, marking a bold new chapter for the annual immersive event dedicated to craft, design, and culture. The 2026 edition is presented under the theme Nature Weave, grounding the programme in an exploration of the relationship between nature, material, and making.
The edition builds on its established foundation, with returning programmes expanded in scope and depth—refining existing formats into a more dynamic 2.0 experience. Across exhibitions, dialogues, and community-driven activations, the programme offers richer content, broader participation, and more meaningful engagement.

Featuring 9 studios from Indonesia, the exhibition presents works that demonstrate a strong command of craft, a clear design intent, and the capacity to engage in cross-cultural dialogue.

This workshop will explore hand-building, layering, sgraffito, and watercolour-style underglaze techniques to create personalised expressions of nature and memories through functional and sculptural porcelain vessels. Participants will have the opportunity to explore two distinctive areas of ceramics. Firstly, they will learn the process of creating a canvas on hand-built and wheel-thrown bases using fresh porcelain clay. Secondly, students will use commercial watercolour-style underglazes to create perspective and depth on bisque-fired surfaces and imitate traditional China paint effects.
During this two-week workshop, participants will be individually guided to find their unique voice through clay, using the visual vocabulary of surrounding nature as a starting point for expressing their own emotions and feelings. The day will start with demonstrations, discussions, and sharing ideas, then will focus on individually finding the best hand-building technique for each person’s nature-inspired creation. It is a free-forming hand-building workshop, welcome to professional artists and artistic enthusiasts, regardless of one’s previous knowledge or experience.
Jia CURATED will return to Bali Festival Park from 14 to 18 August 2025. This year’s event will feature an expanded space, twice the size of previous editions, extended days, and will introduce new programmes spotlighting evolving trends in craft, design, and culture.
