Bimbim, drummer and co-founder of Slank, once mentioned that Poppies Lane Memory was first written in 1993 but only released in 1998 as part of the band’s seventh album, Tujuh. The song name drops five imaginary figures, each alluding to hard liquor, drugs and / or psychotropics.
